Coming soon, Castlemaine!

Castlemaine has plenty of history. Funny how so much of it seems to be about men.

BROADWALKS is a new feminist walking tour company uncovering the women who shaped Castlemaine and the Victorian Goldfields.

There's more to the Goldfields than gold.

Thousands came to the Goldfields chasing fortunes.

Meanwhile, women were building businesses, creating art, organising communities, breaking rules, falling in love, raising hell and shaping the place we know today.

Broadwalks goes looking for them.

What is a
Broadwalk?

A guided walking experience built around great stories.

Expect fascinating women, beautiful streets, unexpected histories, local knowledge, humour, conversation and probably at least one story you'll immediately want to tell someone else.

The tours are grounded in careful historical research, but designed first and foremost to be a brilliant way to experience a place.
